Khoya or Mawa may not be available at stores or dairy in some countries, but there are several alternatives of making it at home. One among it is this favourite recipe.

This instant Khoya recipe comes very handy when I need Khoya in some of the indian recipes.

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Total time: 15 mins

Yield: Makes 1.5 cup Khoya

Ingredients:
1/4 cup milk (दुध)
3 tsp clarified butter (घी)
2 cup milk powder (मील्क पाव्डर)
1 tsp powdered sugar (चीनी)

Method :

1. Mix milk and clarified butter and mirowave for 30 secs. Alternately, warm this mixture in a pan and keep it aside.
2. Take separate non-stick pan and add Milk powder and Sugar powder to it. Add Milk and Clarified butter mixture to this.
3. Mix Well for 5 minutes. Or Boil it until mixture becomes thick like a dough.
4. Khoya is ready to use in any of the recipe.
