Waffles are one of my favourite snacks which goes very well with ice-creams and lots of yummy fruits and even sometimes with flavoured curd. But, now a days people are becoming more and more health conscious. So, let me introduce some facts about this Waffle recipe. This Waffle recipe is rich in vitamin B-complex with Fibre rich whole wheat and Rice flour which combines with vitamin C rich tomatoes, corn and capsicum. Aaah!! so this Waffle recipe is like a SuperHero, which will give lots of vitamins and fibres to your Kids.

Now, lets talk about Taste, Garlic and Oregano gives this waffle a different and striking flavour. And at all times this Waffle recipe is for italian food lovers.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins

Makes 12 pieces

Ingredients
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup tomato purée
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/4 cup coarsely ground sweet corn kernels
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp garlic paste (lehsun paste)(optional)
1/2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
2 1/4 tsp ENO (Fruit salt)
salt to taste
1/4 tsp oil for greasing

Method
Combine all the ingredients, except ENO (Fruit Salt), in a bowl and mix well.
Add enough water to make a smooth batter.
Pre-heat a waffle iron and lightly grease it with oil. If you dont have Waffle Iron you can make this Waffles as a PanCakes in a Pan. Shape would be different but taste would remain the same.
Divide the batter into 3 equal portions.
Add 1/4 tsp of ENO (Fruit Salt) evenly over a portion of the batter, sprinkle a few drops of water over it.
When the bubbles form, mix gently and pour the batter evenly over the greased iron.
Close the lid and cook on high for 2 to 3 minutes or till the waffle turns crisp and golden brown in colour.
Repeat with the remaining batter to make 2 more waffles.
Cut each waffle into 4 pieces and serve immediately.
